Queen Bee Quiche
A breakfast fit for a queen! (or a simple recipe for the busy bee mom that is just trying to feed her kids a wholesome meal)
Queen Bee Sausage Quiche (Crustless)
Ingredients: (Start with our Farm-To-Table Breakfast Box)
1 pound of ground pork breakfast sausage
6 eggs
1/2 cup of heavy whipping cream
Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 cup diced yellow onion
1 cup of diced red bell pepper
1 cup of shredded chile/pepper jack cheese
1 cup of shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1/2 teaspoon of sea salt flakes (Maldon is our fav)
1/2 teaspoon of ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder
Fresh Parsley
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Slightly butter pie dish
Drizzle EVOO in skillet and over medium-high heat cook the onions and bell peppers until they start to soften
Add the ground pork sausage and break up until cooked through and turn off heat to let cool
In a large mixing bowl combine the eggs, cream and seasonings then whisk them all together
Add the shredded cheese and sausage mixture slowly folding them in to allow the eggs to temper
Transfer to the buttered pie dish and top with fresh chopped parsley if desired
Cook for 35-40 minutes or until center is set
Let cool 15 minutes then slice and enjoy!
